Over 1.6 Billion DVDs Sold in North America in 2005
|
In case you had any doubt about the limited future of the VHS videotape format, check this news release from the Digital Entertainment Group: The DVD industry has shipped more than 1.6 billion discs in 2005 alone. An estimated 37 million DVD players were sold to U.S. consumers in 2005, and about 50 percent of all DVD player owners have more than one DVD player. Wow! |
