Video Biographies: Their Popularity Grows as Families Seek to Preserve their Legacies. |
|
|
Imagine sitting down in your living room, popping in a DVD and watching a TV show about your long-dead, great-great-grandparents. It’s a family history video, otherwise known as a Video Biography
The show is professionally produced, and looks just like an episode of A&E’s Biography. You can see how your ancestors walked and how their faces crinkled up when they laughed, and hear their voices coming out of the speakers.
The show includes professionally shot interviews, old home video, old home movies and still photos, and period archival footage.
In it, they, their family and their contemporaries all help tell the story of their lives together. Isn’t it wonderful to have that artifact, that legacy from your family’s past? That’s exactly what YOUR grandchildren’s children will say when they watch YOUR Video Biography -- or your parents’ Video Biography!
So, what are you waiting for?

In the first segment of the video clip shown above, we scouted out some locations around the city that fit the concept and shot the scenes with the florist delivery driver, all in one afternoon. It didn’t take a whole lot of extra time or money, yet this segment was the hit of the 45th anniversary party because it documents a cute story that is special to the subjects of the video. In the second segment, we digitized an actual audio recording of the wedding ceremony from an old, heavily scratched LP and computer-processed it so the wedding vows were audible. Did those examples give you any ideas? Good! Let’s talk! NOTE: This video clip is suitable for viewing only over a high-bandwidth Internet connection such as DSL or cable modem service.
